"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp..." (Surah An-Nur 24:35).
Noor and Naar: The War of Light and Fire
And in the end, the greatest trick of Iblees was never to steal the light—but to convince humanity that they had found it elsewhere.
Yes, you heard that right! He wants you to believe that true enlightenment lies not in divine guidance but in fire.
But what is fire? It burns, it gives warmth, it cooks our food, it fuels our existence—but does it guide? No. It is blind. It consumes. It is arrogant.
Remember the fateful moment when Allah commanded Iblees to bow to Adam? His refusal was filled with pride:
"I am better than him. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." (Surah Al-A’raf 7:12)
From the very beginning, this war has been one of Naar (fire) versus Noor (divine light). Fire deceives—it appears luminous but only burns. Noor, on the other hand, does not consume; it illuminates. It is pure guidance.
Iqbal once wrote:
"Ye khaqi apni fitrat mein na noori hai na naari hai."
(This being of dust is neither of light nor of fire in its essence.)
What, then, is the human being? Allah Himself declared:
"Indeed, I will make upon the earth a Khalifah (successor, ruler)." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:30)
A Khalifah—not just a ruler of land, but a ruler of self. The first domain of rule is your own body, the clay from which you were formed. The second is those under your influence, your family and kin. The third is society, the people outside your direct domain. The fourth is the Earth itself, and the fifth extends even beyond—to the celestial realms.
But how can a ruler reign if he cannot even govern his own soul?
The Nafs, the rebellious fire within, must be controlled before it turns its master into its pet.
The Third Eye
Now let me walk you through the third eye, It is often said that a “flash of light” appears when the third eye is opened. Some call it enlightenment, some divine insight. But what if I told you that this very light has been the oldest deception in history?
Throughout civilizations—Sumer, Egypt, Babylon, Persia—this light has been sought, venerated, worshiped. But here lies the paradox: if this light was truly divine, why did they all follow different gods?
Wasn’t the one true light supposed to lead to the one true God?
Instead, history tells a different story—one of deception, of men chasing a false radiance that led them not to God, but to the Watchers.
And who were the Watchers? Simply put, the Jinn. But not just any Jinn—the ones who followed Lucifer.
These beings whispered secrets to humanity, tempting them as they once tempted Adam. The forbidden sciences, the occult, the knowledge of the unseen—once again, mankind fell for the same trick. Remember the mount hermon oath? That's where it begin
Look around you. Symbols are everywhere. The snake, the ladder, the pinecone, the eye. Egypt, Babylon, Freemasonry—all have left behind trails of hidden meanings. But what do they truly represent?
The Snake That Slithers Up the Spine
The oldest symbol of deception—the serpent. But did you ever stop to wonder why the serpent has been revered throughout history?
Look within yourself. Your spine—from its base to the very top—resembles the winding motion of a snake. At its peak? The pineal gland, the so-called seat of the “third eye.”
Your spine consists of 33 vertebrae—a number that recurs mysteriously throughout history.
33 degrees in Freemasonry, the highest level of initiation.
33 years—the age of people in Jannah, as narrated in Hadith.
33-year cycle of the Sun and Moon in astronomy.
Coincidence? Or something deeper?
The Hidden Calendar of the Sun and Moon
First halt here and understand the 33 year cycle of sun and moon.
For as long as humanity has gazed at the heavens, they have watched two celestial bodies move in perfect synchrony—the Sun, the source of warmth and life, and the Moon, the silent guardian of the night. But what if I told you that their dance holds a secret?
The Earth completes its orbit around the Sun in 365.25 days, while the Moon cycles around the Earth in 27.9 days. At first glance, these seem like mere astronomical figures, but when studied closely, a strange anomaly emerges—a difference of 10.89 days accumulates every year.
A small shift. A subtle but powerful drift.
The ancients—Egyptians, Babylonians, Persians—were obsessed with these cycles. They built temples, aligned pyramids, tracked shadows in sand, all in an effort to grasp the meaning of time itself. But were they truly unlocking divine knowledge? Or were they merely reaching for fire, mistaking it for light?
And then, after 33 years, something extraordinary happens.
The difference of 10.89 days per year builds up until it reaches a total of 365.25 days—one full solar year. The Sun and Moon, opposing forces, finally come into balance.
Balance. Harmony. Opposites meeting at equilibrium.
This number—33—echoes across time and civilizations, appearing in places one would least expect. It is said that in Jannah, the people will be 33 years old, a state of perfected existence where heart and mind no longer struggle. No conflict. No hesitation. Just absolute harmony.
But here is where the deception begins.
Iblees has always been an imitator. He does not create—he corrupts. He twists divine truths into illusions, casting shadows that look like light.
And so, in the secretive ranks of Freemasonry, there exists a 33rd degree—a level only a selected few reach. But what does it signify? Not divine balance, but a perversion of it.
The 33rd degree represents something else entirely—the spinal column of the human body. The 33 vertebrae are believed, in esoteric traditions, to be the path of an ascending force—a force that coils like a serpent, rising from the base of the spine to the mind. Those who attain “higher enlightenment” in such orders do not grow closer to God but instead climb the ranks of false illumination. The higher the degree, the deeper the deception.
This is the path that leads not to Noor, but to Naar.
There is a force that moves within us, a current flowing like an unseen river. It rises from the base of the spine, surging upward, interacting with the heart, the blood, and the very fabric of our being. But just as it rises, it also returns, cycling endlessly—feeding what? The soul, or the self. The more in knowledge the higher in ranks, the more the attain secret knowledge and this forbidden fruit of knowledge makes the nafs the mind stronger than ever. It doesnt lead to submission but to rebellion.
Who is he copying? Well, see this verse..
Surah Al Mujadilah : 11
Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do."
Iblees knows this cycle well. He has spent lifetimes weaving illusions around it, twisting truths into deceptions. He whispers to the nafs, empowering it, feeding its arrogance. "You are no greater than those before you," he hisses. "The stars rule your destiny. The wisdom of the ancients will grant you power. The dead can hear you and answer your prayers." And so, humanity forgets. It forgets the truth of its creation, the purpose of its existence. It forgets what it means to truly be.
The 33 degrees or beyond them are the level of knowledge, wisdom granted to those to submit themselves to satan. You may argue with me that its overly assumed, but do you know sacred geometry? Are you aware of how pyramids were made? Many are the things people today don't know , they are not taught in short. Because whether its in sufism or occultism, its always believed that a person who can't handle the knowledge shall not be given it.
Once you raise your understanding or reasoning level beyond a certain level you’ll easily escape the emotions, escaping these emotions will lead you to question and question will make you search for the answer. The answer will be found with logic and proves not emotions. What the third eye gives you is the knowledge to reason, to see beyond the animal eye. To rise over what you previously did, example; sleep, eat, job, earn, spend, and loop goes on. You search for the universal secrets, the power of your mind and full capacity of yourself. I’ll later explain how we are in Jannah and Hell in this world and we don't even realize it!
Hell and Heaven On Earth
Man is not fire. Man was never meant to be fire. He was given the burden of khilafah—the responsibility to tame all elements: fire, earth, water, and air. These are the building blocks of his body, and this body is his test. This is the ard (earth) over which he was made khalifa. And yet, so many forget their role. They let fire rule them instead of ruling it.
No, opening the third eye is not inherently wrong. But it is not a tool for power. It is a vessel—one that must be filled with the dhikr of Allah, not the chants of deception. Energy, like water, takes on the nature of what is poured into it. Recite upon it truth, and it will be truth. Recite upon it falsehood, and it will become poison.
(Allama Iqbal , tasweer o musawir)
So be careful whom you follow.
And in the next part, we will explore the greatest deception of all: even those who opened the third eye with the right recitations—why did they still fall prey to Iblees?
To Be Continued…
Fascinating article thanks and yes I have no problem seeing of the hell that is our condition here. The 33 is very significant as is the number 11 (a third of 33). Why Jesus was said to die on cross too aged 33. Brilliant read and yes so easy to confuse fire and light
